Lap 422 - 13:49:59 (2:00 AM) - The No. 7 Pontiac pits and Marino Franchitti gets in. The No. 5 Lexus pits and Dayton takes the wheel.

Lap 423 - 13:53:26 (2:03 AM) - The No. 60 Lexus pits and Wilson gets in. The No. 80 Porsche is stopped on pit end and is reporting problems with the throttle cable. The No. 82 has gone to the garage.

Lap 427 - 14:00:00 (2:10 AM) - With 10 hours remaining in the race, the No. 01 Lexus maintains the overall lead with a 45 second margin on the No. 02 Lexus. There are 3 cars on the lead lap that have been driven a total of 1520 miles thus far. The No. 65 Pontiac holds a one lap lead over the No. 36 Porsche in the GT Class.

Lap 431 - 14:06:58 (2:17 AM) - The No. 09 Pontiac goes behind the wall. The No. 84 Pontiac pits and Brassfield gets in. The No. 39 Lexus pits and Carpentier gets in. The No. 51 Lexus goes behind the wall. The No. 06 Corvette is reported to be leaking fluid all over the track and goes behind the wall.

Lap 434 - 14:12:00 (2:22 AM) - The No. 43 Porsche goes behind wall, reports clutch problems. The No. 01 Lexus pits but Papis stays in the car. The No. 22 Porsche spins at Turn 4 but continues on course. The No. 23 Porsche pits and Luhr gets in.

Lap 435 - 14:14:20 (2:24 AM) - OVERALL LEAD CHANGE - The No. 02 Lexus retakes the lead from the No. 01 Lexus. The GT Class leading No. 65 Pontiac pits and Bunting gets in, bringing the No. 36 Porsche to within 30 seconds.

Lap 438 - 14:20:05 (2:30 AM) - The No. 87 Porsche pits and Gaylord takes the wheel. The No. 28 Ford pits and Herta gets in. The No. 36 Porsche has closed the gap on the No. 65 Pontiac to 10 seconds.

Lap 439 - 14:22:07 (2:32 AM) - OVERALL LEAD CHANGE - The No. 02 Lexus pits but Wheldon stays in. While in the pits, the No. 01 Lexus retakes the lead.

Lap 440 - 14:23:56 (2:34 AM) - The No. 06 Corvette returns to the track.

Lap 445 - 14:32:32 (2:42 AM) - The No. 23 Porsche passes the No. 02 Lexus for second place, trailing less than a minute from the overall race leading No. 01 Lexus. GT LEAD CHANGE - The No. 36 Porsche takes the lead from the No. 65 Pontiac. The No. 46 Corvette spins at 5, making light contact with the barrier before continuing on course.
