Lap 453 - 14:50:06 (3:00 AM) - The No. 36 Porsche pits and Pumpelly gets in. GT CLASS LEAD CHANGE - The No. 63 Pontiac retakes the lead while the No. 36 Porsche is in the pits. The No. 22 Porsche pits and Pechnik takes the wheel. The No. 09 Pontiac spins at Turn 2, makes contact with the barrier and loses its rear tail lights.

Lap 460 - 15:00:26 (3:10 AM) - The No. 68 Porsche gets a 10-second penalty for having too many men over the wall.

Lap 461 - 15:01:34 (3:11 AM) - The No. 3 BMW pits and Lewis takes control. The No. 41 Porsche goes behind the wall. The No. 93 Porsche pits and Gilbert gets in. The No. 51 Lexus comes back from the garage. The No. 23 Porsche has closed the gap to within 30 seconds on the race-leading No. 01 Lexus.

Lap 465 - 15:08:44 (3:18 AM) - The No. 99 Pontiac pits and Vasser gets in. The No. 82 Porsche pits and Riccitelli takes the wheel. The No. 75 Pontiac pits and Bergmeister gets in. The No. 41 Porsche pits and Gonzalez Jr. gets in.

Lap 467 - 15:12:31 (3:22 AM) - The No. 06 Corvette pits and Oasis takes the wheel. The No. 23 pits, giving up second place to the No. 02 Lexus.

Lap 467 - 15:14:48 (3:25 AM) - OVERALL LEAD CHANGE - The No. 01 Lexus pits and Pruett gets in, giving up the lead to the No. 02 Lexus. The No. 81 Porsche pits and Marshall gets in. The No. 65 Pontiac pits and O'Connell takes control.

Lap 470 - 15:19:24 (3:29 AM) - OVERALL LEAD CHANGE - The No. 02 Lexus pits, giving up the lead to the No. 01 Lexus. The No. 23 Porsche is trailing by less than 30 seconds. The crew of the No. 65 Pontiac is reporting electrical trouble. GT LEAD CHANGE - The No. 65 Pontiac is passed by the No. 36 Porsche.

Lap 472 - 15:23:53 (3:34 AM) - The No. 19 Ford pits and McDowell takes the wheel. The No.64 Pontiac pits and Edwards takes over. Overall, there are currently three Daytona Prototypes on the lead lap (No. 01, No. 02, and No. 23) with less than a minute separating them.

Lap 474 - 15:28:33 (3:38 AM) - Officials report that the No. 11 BMW is smoking. The No. 87 Porsche pits and Ken Hill takes over.

Lap 477 - 15:32:45 (3:42 AM) - The No. 17 Porsche pits and Shep takes over. The No. 59 Porsche pits and Christopher gets in. The No. 23 Porsche is reported to have stopped but continues on track to the pits. The No. 84 Pontiac is stopped on track at the exit of the chicane and is unable to move, and contact may have occurred with the No. 23 Porsche.
