LAP 202 (06:39:36) – The lead drops to 11.270 seconds for No. 23 BILL AUBERLEN.

LAP 203 (06:41:22) – The top five in Daytona Prototypes are No. 23 BILL AUBERLEN, No. 99 JIMMY VASSER (-13.129), No. 61 MARK WILKINS (-16.753), No. 01 DARIO FRANCHITTI (-34.300) and No. 6 BURT FRISSELLE (-50.363).

LAP 204 (06:43:05) – The top five in GT are No. 66 RICHARD WESTBROOK, No. 70 NICK HAM, No. 86 SASCHA MAASSEN, No. 64 TIM SUGDEN and No. 07 PAUL EDWARDS

LAP 205 (06:44:52) – There are reports No. 02 SALVADOR DURAN’s car is shooting out sparks.

UPDATE – No. 34 TOM PAPADOPOULOS broke a gearbox which is being repaired in the garage. The team unsure which driver will get in next. No.40 ROMEO KAPUDIJA experienced handling problems in the wet with the rain tires and brought car into garage for diagnosis. The crew was checking underneath for possible alignment problems. Another driver earlier had hit the pit wall. JOE FOSTER will be the next driver. No.22 CARLOS DE QUESADA had the gear box potentiometer break and car in garage for replacement. The hood from No. 9 PONTIAC RILEY, which was damaged by a blown tire while HELIO CASTRONEVES was driving, is in the garage having a 'cut and paste.' Another team loaned a hood part, which has been spliced onto the hood, which is now baking under the lights to be used as a spare.

LAP 207 (06:48:24) – No. 16 MATTEO BOBBI takes the PONTIAC COYOTE behind the wall. The gap between No. 66 RICHARD WESTBROOK and No. 70 NICK HAM is 2.800 seconds in GT competition.

UPDATE – The fastest race lap thus far is turned by No. 58 BUDDY RICE on his 88th lap with a time of 1:42.860.

LAP 210 (06:53:38) – Several GT cars on pit road including Nos. 14, 88, 89, 84 and 43. No. 61 MARK WILKINS takes second away from No. 99 JIMMY VASSER.

LAP 211 (06:55:27) – No. 67 SPENCER PUMPELLY takes sixth in GT. No. 68 is assessed a 10-second penalty for having too many men over the wall.

LAP 212 (06:57:43) – GT LEAD CHANGE as No. 66 RICHARD WESTBROOK pits, giving the lead to No. 70 NICK HAM.

LAP 214 (07:00:45) Top five in the Daytona Prototype are No. 23 BILL AUBERLEN, No. 61 MARK WILKINS, No. 99 JIMMY VASSER, No. 01 DARIO FRANCHITTI and No. 6 BURT FRISSELLE.

LAP 215 (07:02:32) – There are reports No. 64 RJ VALENTINE’s wing has suffered severe damage. There remain seven Daytona Prototypes on the lead lap.

LAP 216 (07:04:16) – There are reports the wing endplate on No. 2 ALLAN MCNISH’s car is coming loose.

UPDATE No. 50 has repaired transaxle and JOHN FARANO is getting ready to go back on course. No. 15 FORD MUSTANG is done having suffered a blown engine.

LAP 218 (07:07:46) – The difference between No. 23 BILL AUBERLEN and No. 61 MARK WILKINS is 2.824 seconds.

LAP 220 (07:11:16) – The lead gap between No. 23 BILL AUBERLEN and No. 61 MARK WILKINS is 1.790 seconds. No. 6 AJ ALLMENDINGER gets back in the car after No. 6 BURT FRISSELLE pits.
