LAP 221 (07:13:02) – A GT car went off course on international horseshoe. No. 60 MARK PATERSON got off track briefly before maintaining race speed. OVERALL LEAD CHANGE as No. 23 BILL AUBERLEN comes into the pits. The crew takes the back cowling off the car before PATRICK LONG gets back to action. No. 61 MARK WILKINS picks up the lead. No. 99 JIMMY VASSER also pits and hands the car off to JON FOGARTY. No. 70 NICK HAM spun in the bus stop but continued on.

LAP 222 (07:14:49) – FULL COURSE CAUTION for debris in the bus stop. OVERALL LEAD CHANGE as No. 61 MARK WILKINS pits, handing the lead to No. 9 HELIO CASTRONEVES. No. 99 JON FOGARTY moves into second.

LAP 224 (07:19:30) – Pit lane is open for Daytona Prototypes. OVERALL LEAD CHANGE as No. 9 HELIO CASTRONEVES pits, allowing No. 99 JON FOGARTY to take the lead. Trailing are No. 23 PATRICK LONG, No. 01 DARIO FRANCHITTI, No. 6 AJ ALLMENDINGER and No. 61 BRIAN FRISSELLE.

LAP 225 (07:23:33) – Pit lane is open for GT cars this time. No. 87 DIRK WERNER and No. 70 NICK HAM, running second, are among those pitting.

UPDATE – No. 01 MEMO ROJAS and No. 59 HURLEY HAYWOOD have recently entered the race. The No. 61 FORD RILEY has been taken to the garage for a splitter and brake rotors.

LAP 228 (07:30:46) – GREEN FLAG flies to resume action. No. 67 SPENCER PUMPELLY takes fourth in GT. No. 6 AJ ALLMENDINGER takes third in Daytona Prototypes.

LAP 229 (07:35:58) – FULL COURSE CAUTION as No. 77 GABRIELE GARDEL loses a wheel in the west horseshoe and spins. Prior to the yellow, No. 6 AJ ALLMENDINGER takes second place.

LAP 233 (07:48:46) – There are now nine Daytona Prototype cars on the lead lap. There are still a dozen cars that are within two laps of each other.

LAP 235 (07:55:45) – GREEN FLAG flies to resume action. OVERALL LEAD CHANGE as No. 6 AJ ALLMENDINGER takes the point in NASCAR 2 from No. 99 JON FOGARTY. No. 9 HELIO CASTRONEVES takes fourth. GT LEAD CHANGE as No. 70 NICK HAM retakes the lead from No. 86 SASCHA MAASSEN.

LAP 237 (07:59:14) – Only three cars are on the GT lead lap – No. 70 NICK HAM, No. 86 SASCHA MAASSEN and No. 66 BRYCE MILLER.

LAP 238 – No. 6 AJ ALLMENDINGER pushes the lead to 5.583 seconds. No. 58 DAVID DONOHUE moves to fifth with a pass on No. 01 MEMO ROJAS.

UPDATE – Defending Rolex Series GT champion No. 87 DIRK WERNER led early but a damaged control arm sent him back through the field. Through eight hours, the team was 16 laps down.

LAP 240 (08:03:00) – FULL COURSE CAUTION as No. 7 PADDY SHOVLIN hits the wall in Turn 5 for the second time during the race.

LAP 241 (08:06:24) – No. 59 HURLEY HAYWOOD moves into fourth, while No. 91 MARC GOOSSENS moves into sixth.

LAP 242 (08:10:00) – Daytona Prototype Nos. 01, 02, 9, 58, 60 and 91 all pit after pit lane opens for the cars.

LAP 243 (08:13:32) – GT cars Nos. 52, 30, 87, 89, 34, 14, 64, 84, 06, 83, 66, 17, 43, 44 and 69 all pit.
