LAP 548 (18:57:09) -. No. 02 ALEX LLOYD spins in Turn 3 and gets stuck. He will get a tow in.

LAP 550 (19:03:57) - GREEN FLAG flies. The top three overall leaders are running together. No. 59 JOAO BARBOSA spins after losing control in the final turn; the nose piece flies off but the car does not hit anything. OVERALL LEAD CHANGE as No. 01 JUAN PABLO MONTOYA takes the lead.

LAP 551 (19:05:46) - FULL COURSE CAUTION for No. 59 JOAO BARBOSA's spin and cleanup.

UPDATES - No. 21 VIC RICE drove the car into the garage for repairs to the power steering rack. No. 29 JAKE ROSENZWEIG had the left front tire blow, which caused left side damage and can't be repaired. No. 68 MICHAEL GOMEZ crashed, but is all right. The car is in the garage for the crew to repair the right rear suspension damage. Further information on the gearbox trouble suffered by No. 3. SHANE LEWIS had just changed seats with TED CHRISTOPHER, who went out and hit the wall on his out lap. This caused transmission problems, which took two garage visits for repair.

LAP 555 (19:18:10) - GREEN FLAG flies to resume action. No. 01 JUAN PABLO MONTOYA leads the field around the track and quickly pulls away from No. 6 BURT FRISSELLE.

LAP 557 (19:21:41) - The top five in Daytona Prototypes and overall are No. 01 JUAN PABLO MONTOYA, No. 6 BURT FRISSELLE, No. 23 JOEY HAND, No. 60 JUSTIN WILSON and No. 99 ALEX GURNEY. No. 76 DARREN TURNER and No. 9 RYAN BRISCOE move into sixth and seventh.

UPDATE - No. 27 KRIS WILSON hit a cone in the middle of the chicane, damaging the radiator and front end. One crew member said, "After five accidents, we've run out of parts."

LAP 560 (19:27:52) - No. 01 JUAN PABLO MONTOYA is currently 3.574 seconds ahead of No. 6 BURT FRISSELLE.

LAP 562 (19:30:24) - The top five in GT are No. 70 SYLVAIN TREMBLAY (still running on his own lap), No. 67 ROMAIN DUMAS, No. 66 ANDY LALLY, No. 64 JOHANNES VAN OVERBEEK and No. 80 MARK GREENBERG. No. 10 MAX ANGELELLI has moved into eighth in Daytona Prototypes.

UPDATE - The No. 02 LEXUS RILEY was suffered too much damage in its latest accident in Turn 3 and will not be repaired this late in the race. Driver ALEX LLOYD was not injured in the incident.

LAP 565 (19:35:39) - No. 60 JUSTIN WILSON spins in the international horseshoe and does some damage to the car's right rear.

LAP 566 (19:37:25) - FULL COURSE CAUTION for debris in Turn 3 and NASCAR Turn 2. Part of the debris came from No. 60 JUSTIN WILSON's car after the spin.

LAP 567 (19:41:06) - Daytona Prototypes are permitted to pit, and among those are No. 6, 99, 58, 23, 9, 76, 75 and 09. The top five are No. 01 JUAN PABLO MONTOYA, No. 6 BURT FRISSELLE, No. 23 JOEY HAND, No. 99 ALEX GURNEY and No. 9 KURT BUSCH.

LAP 568 (19:44:00) - GT cars qualifying are 67, 62, 44, 80, 17, 30, 84, 06, 14, 74, 87, 64, 72, 07, 88, 70, 69 and 57.

LAP 569 (19:48:11) - GREEN FLAG flies to resume action. No. 10 MAX ANGELELLI is assessed a stop-and-go penalty for jumping the start. No. 76 DARREN TURNER moves into fifth, passing No. 9 KURT BUSCH.

LAP 570 (19:49:51) - No. 01 JUAN PABLO MONTOYA leads by over 13 seconds over No. 6 BURT FRISSELLE. No. 23 JOEY HAND's car is smoking and he brings the car into the pits. There are reports of a lot of fluid coming from the car.
