SPORTSRACING PROTOTYPE II
This class has been "grandfathered" in for 2003 competition.
Similar in concept to the SportsRacing Prototype (SRP), which was the Rolex Series' premier class from 2000-2002, the SportsRacing Prototype II class features smaller exotics. Chassis manufacturers include Lola, Kudzu, Pilbeam and Piccio. Engines can be no larger than three liters in displacement and have no more than six cylinders. Nissan and BMW are the main powerplants for this class. Turbocharged engines are not permitted.
